Removing the fear of Vulvas
Vagina-Phobia
Fear is the brain’s response to protect us from the unknown. Through the Vagina-Phobia collection, I aim to unveil the mystique surrounding the vagina.
Across ages, the vagina has been hidden away for nonsensical reasons. Today, it’s mostly represented by a fruit in media and education, still not showing how it really looks.
Of 5000 adults, 29% of women and 31% of men did not know where the clitoris was. 60% couldn’t identify the location of the urethra, and 50% couldn’t recognize the labia or vagina. And 60% of women are worried about their vagina looks!
People want to be woke and pretend to know, yet ignorance prevails.
The Vagina-phobia collection challenges our lack of understanding about the female anatomy. It sheds light on the fear of the unknown, presenting real vaginas cast in art pieces that celebrate, acknowledge, and pay tribute in an effort to cure Vagina-Phobia.
